About us
About Eighty Marks
Eighty Marks is practice for the CIMA Operational, Management and Strategic case study exams: timed tasks set in your pre-seen, marked against CIMA's published marking approach, with feedback on what to fix first.

How your answers are marked and checked
- We follow CIMA's published 2026–27 marking approach. Each requirement is split into the points a marker rewards, and each point is placed at Level 1, 2 or 3 by best fit, then given a mark inside that level's range. A level is judged on technical understanding, communication, use of the information and application to the scenario. Marks are given for what you show, never taken away. You see the level and marks for each point, a score for each of the four elements, and your result by core activity, as a practice estimate out of 150 with the pass line at 80.
- Every answer is marked first by AI against this scheme, in about a minute.
- Think a mark is wrong? Query it from your feedback. An independent second marking looks at it first, and a CIMA-qualified (CGMA) moderator checks any query that doesn't settle, or that you still disagree with.
- We are setting up a weekly check in which a CIMA-qualified (CGMA) moderator reviews a sample of marks. Our marking page says when it is running.
Our marks follow CIMA's published 2026–27 marking approach. They are a practice estimate to help you improve, not an official CIMA mark or a prediction of your result. How marking works, and how we check it
How we write and check what we publish
Everything is in our own words. We check it against CIMA's published syllabus, examination blueprints and timetable, and we never reproduce CIMA's pre-seens, exam questions, suggested answers or marking guidance. If you find a mistake, tell us and we'll put it right.
Independent of CIMA
Eighty Marks follows CIMA's published 2026–27 marking approach. It is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by CIMA or AICPA & CIMA. CIMA, CGMA and AICPA are trademarks of their respective owners. We name CIMA and its exams only to say what our practice is for.
